Razorback fans coming to campus over the weekend and early next week, should make note of the closing of a section of Razorback Road. Fochtman Enterprises will close Razorback Road from Mitchell St. to Nettleship St. and Leroy Pond from Razorback Rd. to Clinton Dr. beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 to install new water and sewer mains. This work is being done in preparation for the future widening of Razorback Road from Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd to Nettleship Street.
The street closing will begin Saturday, October 19, and extend through Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013. The work will require closing Razorback Road (between MLK and Nettleship) to all through traffic during this time. Detour routes will be marked. Leroy Pond Drive will be closed to through traffic, but will allow access to Lot 60 and Lot 62 from Clinton Drive. The work was scheduled during Fall Break on the University of Arkansas campus.
For additional information on the project, please contact the City of Fayetteville Utilities Division office from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekdays at 479-718-7670.
