Razorback spirit members shine at Miss Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Three current members of the University of Arkansas Razorback spirit squads and the reigning Miss University of Arkansas were recipients of awards at the 2008 Miss Arkansas Scholarship Pageant held this summer at Summit Arena in Hot Springs, Ark.

Page Daniels of DeQueen, Ark., competed as Miss Texarkana, and took home several awards including — Newcomer Lifestyle and Physical Fitness in Swimsuit and Newcomer Presence and Poise in Evening Gown awards. Daniels also was a top 10 finisher as Miss Arkansas wining one of three coveted Overall Newcomer awards.The UA senior is Pork Chop for the Razorback mascots.

The reigning Miss University of Arkansas, Ann Brooks Wizer, received a Newcomer Evening Gown Award and the Miss America’s Miracle Maker Award. Wizer earned the Miracle Maker Award for raising over $3,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network. Wizer is a junior at the university and a native of Fayetteville.

Lindsey Lee is a feature twirler for the Razorback Band, and competed as Miss Heart of the Ozarks at the 2008 pageant. She won Most Photogenic at the Miss Arkansas. Lee is a senior from Russellville, Ark.

Miss Dogwood, Kimberly Smith, is a 2nd year cheerleader at the university as part of the Cheer Red Squad. The Hot Springs junior won the Non-Finalist Interview Award at the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Pageant.
