Razorback Tennis Opens Fall Competition at Navy Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas men’s tennis team will begin the fall portion of its schedule Friday at the Navy Invitational in Annapolis, Md. Taylor King, Jorge Villanueva and Bradwin Williams will represent the Razorbacks in the round-robin event.

King will be playing in his first matches since the 2005-06 season after he redshirted last year when an illness kept him sidelined. As freshmen last season, Villanueva and Williams both saw action in the Arkansas lineup.

The three Razorbacks will combine with the partial team from Oklahoma during the weekend to face opponents from Maryland, Navy, Princeton and St. Joseph’s. The competition will be based on individual results and will not count toward the team’s win-loss record.

The combined teams from Arkansas and Oklahoma will open competition against host Navy on Friday at 1 p.m. For complete results from the Navy Invitational during the weekend, log on to www.hogwired.com.
