FAYETTEVILLE — Season tickets for the 2013 Arkansas volleyball season are now on sale through the Razorback Ticket Center and online at ArkansasRazorbacks.com. There are two options for season ticket packages with reserved seats at $50 and general admission at $40. For more information and to purchase season tickets for the upcoming season, call 1-800-982-HOGS (4647). New for this season, fans can choose their own seat in Barnhill Arena and Razorback Athletics will mark it with a special reserved seat cover. This will guarantee fans their same seat for every home match. All seats not sold as reserved will be available for general admission season-ticket holders and single-game buyers. The reserved option is available in the West and South side lower bowl chair-back seats. Arkansas has 16 home matches on their 2013 schedule including two non-conference tournaments, nine Southeastern Conference match-ups and four dates against teams that advanced to the last year’s NCAA Tournament. The Razorbacks’ season begins Aug. 30-31 with the Arkansas Invitational. All home matches will be played at Barnhill Arena. University of Arkansas students receive free admission with a valid student ID, while fans 17 years and under receive a free general admission ticket. Fans interested in sitting in the priority seating areas–sections L, M, N–and obtaining reserved parking are encouraged to join the Razorback Foundation. Membership starts at $50 annually. Under the direction of sixth-year head coach Robert Pulliza, the Razorbacks return 11 players from last year’s roster that earned a bid into the NCAA Tournament. Arkansas will be led by its 2013 senior class of Emily Helm, Hayley Koop, Avery Lewis, Clarissa Pavey, Raymariely Santos and Ashley Vazquez. The team will also benefit from the experience gained by its sophomore class, a group that includes All-SEC performer Liz Fortado. Arkansas will also welcome the top-ranked SEC recruiting class and No. 16 class in the country. Last season, the Razorbacks’ total attendance figure eclipsed the 15,000 mark for the first time in program history. In 18 home dates in 2012, Arkansas averaged more than 1,000 fans per match. The single-match record for Barnhill Arena was also set during the year with a figure of 3,015 during the SEC opener against No. 13 Florida. Fans can also keep up with Arkansas volleyball through the team’s sport-specific RazorbackVB Facebook and Twitter pages.
