FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas women’s basketball team jumped into the USA TODAY/ESPN Coaches Top 25 at No. 25 Tuesday.
Arkansas broke into the Associated Press poll Monday also at No. 25.
"It feels great to be recognized by both the media and our coaching peers," Arkansas head coach Tom Collen said. "We hope this is just the beginning and a glimpse of what our potential might be. We realize that our next test is the SEC schedule. Hopefully we have prepared ourselves well and meet that challange."
The Razorbacks improved to 11-0, the second-best start in program history, with a 10-point win over No. 12 Oklahoma last week.
Arkansas returned to the AP poll yesterday for the first time since the 2007-08 season. That year Collen led Arkansas to a school record 15-0 start and were ranked in both polls. Arkansas entered the coaches poll at No. 25 on Christmas that year.
