Razorbacks Add Transfer To Squad

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- Razorback volleyball head coach Jason Watson added transfer Devyn Wheeler to the roster Friday morning. The Carrollton, Texas native spent the past two seasons at North Florida and will be eligible to play immediately.

A middle blocker, Wheeler has recorded 555 kills in 65 matches. A two-time ASUN Freshman of the Week, she was named to the 2017 ASUN All-Freshman Team in her first year with the Ospreys.

Wheeler recorded 119 total blocks, 17 of which were unassisted, and averaged 1.18 digs per set. Her 15 service aces this season ranked third on the team, as did her 2.20 kills per set. The sophomore played in every match this season, starting in all but two.

“Devyn brings experience and depth to our program,” Watson said. “She is committed to not only being a great athlete, but also a fabulous student. The entire program is excited she has decided to join us here at Arkansas.”

Wheeler is the fifth newcomer to sign in the 2019 signing class.
