Razorbacks Close Out Fall Season

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Highlighted by a doubles sweep, the Arkansas women’s tennis team wrapped up its fall season Sunday at the Brown Classic in Providence.

“We certainly got plenty accomplished this weekend and learned a lot about our team,” Arkansas head coach Michael Hegarty said. “We now head into an important training block and eagerly await what should be a great spring season.”

Senior co-captain and junior Peyton Jennings continued their winning ways, defeating Utah’s Taylor Calton and Jena Cheng 6-3. The Razorback duo finished the tournament with a 3-0 record in doubles action.

Junior Mia Jurasic and sophomore Agne Cepelyte teamed to beat Utah’s Brianna Turley and Margo Pletcher 7-5, while the sophomore tandem of Myrna Olaya and Shwetha Prabakar eased past Utah’s Victoria Robertson and Kallie Sperry 6-2.
