Razorbacks Continue Spring Slate In Tulsa

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas women’s soccer team will have a busy second weekend of its spring season on Saturday when it heads to Tulsa to take on a pair of opponents. The Razorbacks will open the day with a 30-minute half against Oral Roberts at 10:15 a.m. before taking on Central Oklahoma for a two 30-minute halves.

The Razorbacks got their spring season started in a big way last Saturday with a 7-0 win over Missouri State in which six different players found the back of the net over the three 30-minute halves.

Senior-to-be Jessi Hartzler led the way against Missouri State with two goals, building off a strong 2016 campaign in which she was one of five players to score six or more goals. Two of the other returning top goal scorers from last season – Stefani Doyle and Kayla McKeon – also scored last weekend.

Arkansas advanced to the SEC Championship game in 2016 and won an NCAA Tournament game for the third time in four years. Saturday’s first opponent Oral Roberts advanced to the Summit League Championship game and lost in penalty kicks, while Central Oklahoma won 15 games before falling in the second round of the NCAA Division II Central Region.

Future Oklahoma Hogs
Under the direction of head coach Colby Hale, the Arkansas program hasn’t been a stranger to the state of Oklahoma. Arkansas will welcome four signees from Oklahoma when fall camp begins. The Union High School trio of Parker Goins, Taylor Malham and Haley Vanfossen along with Jenks High School product Nayeli Perez will join the Razorbacks at the end of the summer.
