FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Thursday’s session of spring football practice brought a new dimension to the team as Houston Nutt’s squad donned pads for the first time since their bowl game in December and practiced for two-hours. Following the conclusion of their regular practice periods, the Hogs held a brief scrimmage.
Assistant coach Bobby Allen spoke in place of an absent Houston Nutt who left for a speaking engagement.
“We really liked the intensity of the kids,” Allen said. “They were ready to put the pads back on and get out there and hit somebody. You always like to see that as a coach.
