Razorbacks head to South Carolina for 2000 Sea

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas men’s golf team begins its 2000-01 season by traveling to the Cleveland Golf/Kiawah Island Intercollegiate at the Osprey Point Golf Club in Charleston starting on Monday.
Senior All-American Craig Lile, junior Ryan Blagg, sophomore Drew Higginbothom, redshirt freshman Adam Wing and true freshman Seth Murphy will represent the Razorbacks at the event.
“We have got some guys that have never played in a Division I tournament making this trip for us,” UA head coach Bill Woodley said. “This will be a new experience for Adam and Seth, but it is something they will have to get used to. I think they will be surprised at the number of good players that will be there, and that will take some getting used to. It helps that they have a guy on the team though that has the potential to be one of the best players in the country.”
Joining the Razorbacks in the tournament from the Southeastern Conference are Alabama, LSU and Ole Miss. Completing the field are Augusta State, Baylor, Central Florida, College of Charleston, Florida State, Kent State, Maryland, South Alabama, Tulsa, South Carolina-Aiken and The Citadel.
The Cleveland Golf/Kiawah Island Intercollegiate begins Monday with 36 holes and concludes with the final 18 holes on Thursday.
