Razorbacks Host No. 2 Florida at Bogle Park

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Fans at Bogle Park will be treated to another top-25 matchup this weekend when the 24th-ranked University of Arkansas softball team welcomes No. 2 Florida to Fayetteville. The Razorbacks enter the three-game series with a 22-9 overall record and have won nine of 10 home games this season. General admission for all home games is free with gates opening one hour prior to first pitch.

Series vs Florida
Five of Arkansas’ 11 wins in the program’s history against Florida have come on its home field in Fayetteville. This weekend marks the seventh time the Razorbacks face a top-five Florida team, and the first time both teams meet as top-25 opponents. Arkansas is looking for its first win in the series since 2007. Overall, Florida owns a 44-11 advantage in the head-to-head.

Arkansas holds steady at No. 25 in the season’s second release of the NCAA RPI (March 27). All eight of the Razorbacks’ SEC opponents are ranked within the top 36. Overall, Arkansas has 17 opponents positioned in the top 80 of the RPI. This weekend’s opponent, Florida, is fourth in the most recent RPI. In additional weekly polls, Arkansas ranks 21st by Fast Pitch News, 23rd in the USA Today/NFCA poll and 24th in the ESPN/USA Softball release.

Welcome to Bogle Park
In a preseason poll conducted by FloSoftball, fans of college softball voted Bogle Park the No. 4 stadium in the nation, and second among SEC parks trailing only Rhoads Stadium (Alabama). This is the ninth season with Bogle Park as Arkansas’ home field.
