FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas’ tennis team is ranked No. 27 in this week’s Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings released on Tuesday. In the individual rankings, sophomore Adrians Zguns is ranked No. 17 in singles and senior Nathan Price is No. 43. The doubles team of Price and Matt Simpson is ranked No. 57. The Razorbacks are 14-9 overall and should earn a fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament when bids are announced on May 5. Zguns is 33-9 in singles and Price is 30-11. They are the first Razorbacks to win 30 matches in a season since Marcus Hilpert went 47-4 in 1994. Zguns earned first-team All-Southeastern Conference honors this year while Price, the SEC Player of the Week two weeks ago, made the second team, marking the first time two singles players from UA have earned all-league honors in the same season since 1996 when Tim Crichton and Daniel Pahlsson did so.
