Razorbacks Struggle at Tucker Invitational

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Arkansas got off to a rocky start during the first 36 holes at the Tucker Invitational, but will try to climb the leader board when they tee off for the final round on Saturday. The Razorbacks are in 19th place after they shot 303 and 306 in the first and second rounds, respectively. Their performances gave them a 33 over par and a score of 609 on the 7,350-yard par 72 University of New Mexico Championship Golf Course. Arizona is in first place with a 563 (-13).
In his first tournament as a Razorback freshman Eric Shriver is leading the team and is tied in 37th place. He carded rounds of 72 and 76 for a four-over-par 148. Sophomore Matt Bortis was next with a five-over-par 149, after he recorded first and second rounds of 74 and 75.
Redshirt freshman Scotty Campbell and true freshman Will Osborne are both tied in 90th with a 12-over-par 156. Campbell fired two rounds of 78, while Osborne turned in a 79 in the first round and a 77 in the second. True freshman Buddy Wilkins ended the day with a 166 (+22) after he posted rounds of 81 and 85. The Tucker Invitational is also his first competition of the season.
The Hogs will have the first tee time and begin the third and final round at 8 a.m.
