Razorbacks Tee It Up This Week
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas women’s golf team returns to the links this week at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational at the UNC Finley Golf Club in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The 14th-ranked Razorbacks are playing in their third of four fall events at the three-day, three-round event. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.
This week’s field features 18 teams including top-ranked Alabama and ninth-ranked host North Carolina.
Head coach Shauna Estes-Taylor has some changes to the lineup from the first two events as senior Samantha Marks cracks the traveling five in place of junior Jordy LaBarbera. All-American sophomore Maria Fassi, junior Alana Uriell and sophomores Cara Gorlei and Kaylee Benton are all making their third appearance for the Razorbacks this season.
Fassi enters the week as the top scoring Razorback this season with a 70.50 stroke average. She picked up a win in the first event of the season at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate and has consistently been among the Razorback leaders since joining the team in January.
