GAINESVILLE – After playing at home against No. 14 South Carolina on Thursday, Arkansas’s soccer team plays its second straight game against a ranked team with Sunday’s 12:30 p.m. contest at No. 8 Florida.

The Florida game marks the fourth of the season for the Razorbacks against a ranked team, which matches the school record set last year. Florida is ranked in all four polls with a high of No. 8 by Top Drawer.

"We’re playing the top two teams in the Southeastern Conference this week," head coach Erin Aubry says. "We have to make sure we are sharp."

Earlier this year, Arkansas recorded a 0-0 double-overtime tie at No. 17 Georgia and lost 1-0 in overtime at No. 11 Florida State.

Florida leads the all-time series 14-0, including a 5-0 lead in Gainesville. Last year, the Gators recorded a 1-0 win in Fayetteville.

Eleven seniors were recognized in Senior Night activities before Thursday’s game against South Carolina. They include manager Dani Alexander, midfielder Kelsey Allison, forward Ally Atkins, defender Sam Bolton, midfielder Rachel Carlson, midfielder Camille Flores, defender Lauren Hallauer, defender Beth McVean, forward Erin Moskos, midfielder Kelly O’Connor, forward Laurel Pastor and goalkeeper Britni Williams.

"That is a special class," Aubry says. "There’s a lot of personality and sassiness, which we love. That’s really what is creating a lot of our scoring opportunities."

Arkansas closes the regular season on Friday at LSU.
