Razorbacks at the U.S. Women's Amateur

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – A pair of University of Arkansas women’s golfers opened play at the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship in St. Louis, Mo., Monday.Junior-to-be Kelli Shean and senior-to-be Corinna Rees both completed their first round at Old Warson Country Club, a Robert Trent Jones Sr., course that opened in 1954.Shean finished her day tied for 37th overall with a first-day three-over 74 on the par 71, 6,422-yard course. The Cape Town, South Africa, native had 13 pars and a birdie on the day.Razorback teammate Rees was tied for 63rd after the first round with an eight-over 79.The duo continue play Tuesday as stroke-play qualifying wraps up.
