Razorbacks Battle Cyclones in Most Dominant Mascot Contest

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.More than eight million fans have registered their votes on CBS Sportsline.com and the Arkansas Razorbacks have made the finals of the most dominant college mascot on earth contest. The Razorbacks are pitted against the Iowa State Cyclones in the final being waged currently on the website.

The field of 64 mascots has been whittled down to only the Razorbacks and Cyclones. Voting on the contest ends June 1. Fans may vote by logging on to the contest at http://www.sportsline.com/spin/story/10197376?spinmascotpollfinals or visiting www.hogwired.com for a link.

Arkansas fans have already rallied the Razorbacks past the Boston Terriers, the Campbell Fighting Camels, the South Florida Bulls, the Colorado Buffaloes and the BYU Cougars. Iowa State has advanced past the Saint Louis Billikens, the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, the Drexel Dragons, the Southern Utah Thunderbirds and the Michigan State Spartans.

The winner of the contest will be presented a plaque and recognized by the website as the most dominant mascot on earth.
