FAYETTEVILLE — The 10th-ranked University of Arkansas football team continued preseason practice on Wednesday afternoon at the UA practice fields.
Defensive coordinator and secondary coach Paul Haynes spoke to the media after practice and commented about the talent of the young defensive players.
“Those young (linebackers) are coming along,” Coach Haynes said. “Those guys have been making plays out there, running around and getting more confidence. They’re coming along, and we’re going to need them to be good for us this year.”
Coach Haynes also talked about the team’s focus in practice this week.
“We stress to our guys that every time we have to step to contact,” Coach Haynes explained. “We’re continuing to work on fundamentals and technique. We made it a point in practice this week to concentrate on tackling, and they’ve done a great job so far.”
