FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas volleyball team will close out its 2009 home schedule Sunday afternoon in a 1:30 p.m. (CT) match against the Georgia Bulldogs. As tradition on Senior Day, the Razorbacks will also recognize the two senior players on this year’s roster, Lindsay Scanlan and Kristin Seaton. The match will be streamed live at ArkansasRazorbacks.com.Arkansas (13-16, 7-11) enters the match off a five-set victory over Auburn in its last outing. Jasmine Norton led a group of four Razorbacks with double-digit kill totals with 28 putaways. Amanda Anderson knocked off a career-high 15 kills, while Kelli Stipanovich and Seaton equaled their season highs with 15 and 14 kills, respectively. Running the show for the Arkansas offense, Cassie Clarke dished out an Southeastern Conference-high 66 assists against the Tigers in the victory.Libero Phoebe Bautista stole the show, defensively, with 33 digs, the second-highest match total in program history. Clarke and Norton each totaled 12 digs and Mackenzie Rhea collected 11 digs. As a team, the Razorbacks registered 83 kills and 85 digs against Auburn, both season-high figures.The Razorbacks swept Georgia (15-14, 6-12) in the first meeting between the two teams, an Oct. 2 match in Athens. In that contest, Norton and Stipanovich led the charge with 10 and nine kills, respectively, and Arkansas held the Bulldogs to a .118 hitting percentage. In the all-time series, the Razorbacks have won 14 of the 20 matches between the two programs.The Bulldogs dropped their last match in straight sets to Ole Miss. On the season, Erika Clark leads the team with 3.00 kills per set and Valentina Gonzalez is third in the conference with a .352 hitting percentage. She is also ninth in the SEC with 1.09 blocks per set. Georgia is the toughest serving team in the conference, averaging 1.38 aces per set.Following Sunday’s match, the Razorbacks will travel to Oxford, Miss., for their 2009 finale, a Nov. 25 meeting with the Ole Miss Rebels.
