Razorbacks in 12th after First Day of Wolf Pack Classic

RENO, Nev. – The Arkansas men’s golf team is tied for 12th place after the opening 36 holes of the Wolf Pack Classic on Monday at the par-72, 7,100-yard Wolf Run Golf Course.

The Razorbacks shot 3-over 291 in the opening round and followed that with as 7-over par 295 in round two. The Hogs are 10-over 586 for the tournament, in a tie with Fresno State.

Utah leads the event at 14-under par 562 with Iowa State in second at 12-under par (564). Boise State and Denver follow with host Nevada rounding out the top five.

Sophomore Jason Cuthbertson leads the Arkansas contingent with a 1-over-par 145 on Monday. He is tied for 31st position after rounds of 71 (-1) and 74 (+1). Fellow UA sophomore Andrew Landry is one shot back in a tie for 41st. He fired rounds of 72 (E) and 74 (+2) on day one.

Scotty Campbell, who is playing as an individual, is also tied for 41st place at 2-over-par 146. Redshirt freshman Jason Turner is tied for 49th with a 3-over-par total of 147 after shooting rounds of 73 (+1) and 74 (+2). Beau Glover is right behind in 55th position at 4-over-par 148 and Barrett Lais is tied for 66th after two rounds of 75 on Monday.

Tuesday’s final round will tee off at 10 a.m. CT at the Wolf Run Golf Course in Reno, Nev.
