Razorbacks prepare for SEC opener

FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas football team returned to the UA practice fields on Wednesday and continued to prepare for its Southeastern Conference opener against Alabama on Saturday in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

Defensive coordinator and secondary coach Paul Haynes spoke to the media after practice and discussed the defense’s preparation in practice.

"It’s been exciting," Coach Haynes said. "It’s been upbeat. It’s been high tempo, which is good. Their work ethic has been unbelievable. Their practice habits and their preparation have been unbelievable."

Coach Haynes also talked about game planning in preparation for Alabama.

"It’s going good," Coach Haynes said. "The guys are out there working hard and playing physical. They know it’s going to be a physical game, and they are super excited about this weekend."

Kickoff for Saturday’s game is set for 2:30 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on CBS.

Tickets for three Fayetteville games are still on sale. Tickets for the non-conference games against Rutgers and Tulsa are $45, while tickets for the conference matchup against Kentucky are $55. Single-game tickets may be purchased online at ArkansasRazorbacks.com, in person at the Razorback Ticket Center or by phone at 800-982-HOGS. Fans ordering tickets online have the option to print the tickets from home utilizing UA’s new eTicket system.

Single game tickets for the Oct. 27 Ole Miss game are still available for $65. The Razorbacks and Rebels are set to square off inside War Memorial Stadium for the 16th time in series history, including the first meeting since 1913, and the first time since 1992.
