FAYETTEVILLE – The 8th-ranked Arkansas Razorback football team practiced inside Walker Pavilion on Tuesday afternoon as it prepared for its final on-campus game of 2011 against conference foe Tennessee. Offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Garrick McGee spoke with the media on how the team started off the practice week.
"They did a good job today," Coach McGee said. "We had to go inside and there is always a lot of energy when we are inside because it’s loud in there. You can hear the pads popping and the quarterback’s cadence. They had a lot of energy today."
Coach McGee also explained how they prepare the team during the week for the games on Saturday.
"We try to do the same type of preparation each week," Coach McGee said. "We put together a plan that is going to put our kids in the best position to make plays on Saturday and then go into the meeting room to teach the kids the plan."
Kickoff for Saturday’s game against Tennessee, which has already sold out, is set for 5 p.m. on ESPN2. Arkansas will recognize its 17 seniors playing their final on-campus game in a pre-game ceremony.
