FAYETTEVILLE – The 8th-ranked University of Arkansas football team practiced inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium Thursday afternoon as it continued to prepare for its Southeastern Conference matchup with Tennessee on Saturday.
Head coach Bobby Petrino commented that the team has had a good week of practice leading up to Senior Day on Saturday.
"Our focus all week has been on improvement," Coach Petrino said. "We’re working hard on our individual technique and working hard on our communication. When we do things right, we’re a much better football team."
Coach Petrino also mentioned the importance of playing well to send this year’s seniors out on a high note.
"This is a big game for our senior class," Coach Petrino said. "Those guys who have been with us all four years have put a tremendous amount of effort, concentration and dedication into our football program and we need to all make sure they win their last game in this stadium."
Kickoff for Saturday’s game against Tennessee, which has already sold out, is set for 5 p.m. on ESPN2. Arkansas will recognize its 17 seniors playing their final on-campus game in a pre-game ceremony.
