Razorbacks Set to Tee Off at Oklahoma Intercollegiate

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas men’s golf team will take part in the Oklahoma Intercollegiate beginning Sunday morning. The event will play out on the par-71, 7,417-yard course at the Oak Tree Golf Club in Edmond, Okla.

On the heels of its third top-five result of the season, the Razorback team will include Andrew Landry, David Lingmerth, Barrett Lais, Jason Turner and Allen McFerran. It is the same lineup that finished tied for second at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Golf Classic, the Hogs’ last event.

Landry and Lingmerth lead UA with scoring averages of 72.67 and 72.78, respectively. Both golfers turned in season-high finishes last time out with Landry finishing tied for eighth and Lingmerth tied for 11th place. Lais goes into the event with a 74 scoring average, good for fifth on the team. The three golfers have appeared in the lineup in every event this season.

Turner and McFerran round out the Razorback team. They shared 18th place with five other golfers at the Notre Dame event. Turner and McFerran are making their third and second appearances in the lineup, respectively.

Arkansas is ranked 34th in the most recent Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index. The Hogs will be joined in the 11-team field by three others—Texas Tech (11), Texas A&M (17) and host Oklahoma (24)—ranked in the top-50 poll. The rest of the field includes Baylor, Oral Roberts, Santa Clara, SMU, Stephen F. Austin, Tulsa and UT-San Antonio.

Junior Will Osborne, making his first appearance of the season, will compete as an individual at the event.

UA’s first golfer is scheduled to take the course at 10:40 a.m. CT with a 10-minute interval between tee times. The Razorbacks will play in a group with Texas A&M and Texas Tech. Osborne will tee off at 9:40 a.m. Live scoring will be available at www.golfstat.com once play begins. Log on to www.hogwired.com for complete results.
