Razorbacks tee off early

TEMPE, Ariz. – The 16th-ranked University of Arkansas women’s golf team is poised for an 8 a.m. local tee time at the 2009 NCAA West Regional Golf Championship in Tempe, Ariz., Thursday. The Razorbacks are paired with No. 13 Pepperdine and No. 17 San Jose State for the first round of the tournament. Freshman Katy Nugent goes off first for Arkansas at 8 a.m. in Tempe, 10 a.m. central, from the 10th hole. Nugent plays with SJSU’s Shraddhanjali Singh and Pepperdine’s Jessica Wallace. The next tee time at 8:10 a.m., 10:10 a.m. central features Arkansas’ Alex Schulte with Pepperdine’s Kaitlin Drolson and SJSU’s Madeleine Ziegert. Sophomore Kelli Shean is up at 8:20 a.m., 10:20 a.m. central against Lisa McCloskey of Pepperdine and Katrina Delen Briones of SJSU followed by Razorback Kristin Ingram at 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. central. Ingram is paired with Pepperdine’s Jayvie Agojo and SJSU’s Cristina Corpus. Arkansas’ final tee time features lone senior Lucy Nunn with Pepperdine’s Taylore Karle and SJSU’s Erica Moston. The three-day event continues through Saturday at ASU’s Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, Ariz.
