FAYETTEVILLE —The Arkansas soccer team (9-4, 2-3) will travel to College Station, Texas, for the team’s only matchup of the weekend against Texas A&M (9-3-1, 4-1) on Friday evening. The match is slated for 7 p.m. Arkansas, fueled by a stout defensive performance and a game-winning goal by sophomore Ashleigh Ellenwood, is coming off a 1-0 shutout win against Southeastern Conference (SEC) foe Mississippi State last weekend at Razorback Field. Texas A&M enters this weekend’s matchup on a four-game winning-streak and currently sits tied for the No. 2 spot in the league standings. The Aggies last defeated Missouri on the road on Oct. 6. Arkansas’ nine wins are the third-most in the SEC behind South Carolina (11) and Kentucky (9). The shutout of Mississippi State was the team’s sixth of the season, the most since 2009.
