FAYETTEVILLE — The No. 39 University of Arkansas women’s tennis remains on the road through the weekend and visits Columbia, Mo., for a dual match against Missouri on Sunday before heading back home.

Both the Razorbacks (7-9, 0-5 SEC) and Tigers (5-11, 0-5 SEC) seek their first conference win of the season. UA was recently defeated in a 4-0 contest at No. 7 Texas A&M on Friday, but also earned a pair of wins over Prarie View A&M in a day of action that included three matches.

SERIES STORY: MISSOURI TIGERS

Arkansas leads 3-1 in the all-time series with Texas A&M…the first meeting between the two programs came during the 1981-82 season…the most recent meeting took place last season, as the Razorbacks dropped a 5-2 decision to the Tigers in Fayetteville, Ark.

WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH

The Razorbacks are now coming off of a stretch in their scheduling over which they faced eight straight ranked opponents. Unranked Missouri puts an end to that stretch, as Arkansas looks for its first SEC win of the season. UA has faired well against ranked opponents, defeating current No. 46 Wichita State twice in a doubleheader to open the spring season and has also defeated No. 35 Kansas State and No. 67 North Texas.

LIFE IN THE SEC

The SEC has seven teams in the top 25 of the ITA National Team Rankings, including five in the top 15 alone. UA just finished a weekend in which it hosted No. 20 Auburn and No. 4 Alabama and next faces No. 7 Texas A&M on Friday.
