FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — For the second straight season, University of Arkansas head men’s basketball coach Mike Anderson has invited members of the media to help coach his players in the Razorbacks’ Red-White game which is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. at Bud Walton Arena. The Red-White game is free to the public. In the 2011 Red-White scrimmage the White team, led by area newspaper writers, defeated the Red team, which was coached by local television personalities. The 2012 version of the event has local newspaper writers returning to defend their title from a year ago and this year will be opposed by radio personalities from the Little Rock area. Returning to coach for the newspaper team is Bob Holt of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and he will be joined by Robbie Neiswanger of the Arkansas News Bureau. The Red team will have Shawn Arnell of the “Shawn Arnell Show” and former Razorback guard Pat Bradley of “The Zone” roaming the sidelines.
Doors for the Red-White game at Bud Walton Arena will open at 6 p.m. for the 7 p.m. tip. The Razorbacks are scheduled to play two 20-minute halves and the teams will be chosen by the honorary coaches on Monday afternoon. Season tickets for Razorback basketball are on sale through the Razorback Ticket Center. Fans may call 1-800-983-HOGS (4647) or go online to www.arkansasrazorbacks.com to purchase tickets for Mike Anderson’s second season which tips off on Nov. 9 against Sam Houston State..
