Red-White tonight; RazorVision stream at 7:30

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas Razorbacks tip-off the 2008-09 basketball season with the Red-White Game on Friday, Oct. 24, at Bud Walton Arena.

For the first time, the Red-White Game is a combined event for the men’s and women’s basketball teams.

As a part of the combined event, the Voices of the Razorback basketball squads team up tonight for a special RazorVision live stream of the event. Mike Nail, voice of men’s basketball, and Kyle Kellams, voice of women’s basketball, will provide play-by-play for their respective teams, then swap roles to serve as color commentators for each other’s teams.

Admission to the scrimmage is one canned food item to be donated to the Salvation Army.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., followed by an autograph session with the men’s and women’s basketball teams on the concourse from 6:00-7:15 p.m. Scrimmages begin at 7:30 p.m. with halftime contests and entertainment taking place between the men’s and women’s scrimmages.

Season tickets for both men’s and women’s basketball are now on sale for the 2008-09 basketball season.

For the men’s basketball, season ticket holders gain access to 20 home games, including two non-conference games against Big XII rivals Texas and Oklahoma. For the women, home non-conference includes Big 10 member Northwestern and Big XII member Missouri. The SEC schedule pits Arkansas against all the normal SEC foes, but the home schedule is highlighted with Kentucky and Tennessee coming to Bud Walton Arena.
