Regular season finale at home

FAYETTEVILLE – No. 16 Arkansas Razorback men’s track and field will wrap-up the 2010 outdoor regular season with the Arkansas Twilight, Fri., April 30, at John McDonnell Field.

Field events begin at 9 a.m. and running events begin at 5 p.m. Live results, a live video stream and a meet recap can be found at ArkansasRazorbacks.com.

In the current USTFCCCA ranking, the Razorbacks are listed at No. 16. Arkansas is one of eight SEC schools in the top 25. LSU is No. 2, Florida is No. 3, Auburn is No. 5, Ole Miss is No. 10, Mississippi State is No. 12, South Carolina is No. 14 and Georgia is No. 15. Freshman Eric Fernandez is the SEC leader at 10,000 meters and senior Alain Bailey is the SEC leader in the long jump. Fernandez’s time of 28:37.77 is the fastest by a freshman this season and ranks No. 3 in the NCAA. Bailey’s jump of 26-2.75 is also the NCAA leader.

Junior LaShawn Butler is scheduled to run the 100 meters, 200 meters and as a member of the 4×100-meter relay. Freshman Caleb Cross will run the 110-meter hurdles and as a member of the 4×100-meter relay. Sophomore Andrew Pennington will run the 110-meter and 400-meter hurdles. Bailey and sophomore Tarik Batchelor are scheduled to compete in the long jump.
