PALO ALTO, Calif. –The University of Arkansas women’s golf team came off the golf course tied for 23rd after the first round of the 2010 NCAA West Regional Championship hosted by Stanford University Thursday.
By the time the dust settled and all 24 teams finished, the Razorbacks moved up into a tie for 16th as a team. Senior Kelli Shean finished herround tied for 19th overall. Freshman Victoria Vela is tied for 62nd, followed by senior Alex Schulte, whois tied for 75th. Senior Tiffany Phelps finished her day tied for 96th and senior Kristin Ingram rounded out the scores and is tied for 112th overall.
Play continues with the second round Friday.
