Rice Turns In Solid Performance

SEATTLE – Freshman Tatum Rice highlighted another strong day for the Arkansas women’s tennis team Saturday at the Husky Invite held at the Nordstrom Tennis Center on the University of Washington’s campus, earning a win in both singles and doubles play.

In doubles against Oregon, Rice and sophomore Jackie Carr defeated Nia Rose and Daniela Nasser, 6-3.

Rice followed up in singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Washington’s Lana Slavica.

Junior Agne Cepelyte picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win of her own against Washington’s Angela Li, while sophomore Natsuho Arakawa beat Washington’s Alexis Prokopuik, 7-5, 6-4.

The Razorbacks will return to the courts Sunday for the tournament’s final day of play.
