FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas outfielder Kyle Robinson continued to be recognized for his performance against McNeese State and Wisconsin-Milwaukee by being named to the College Baseball Hall of Fame’s National All-Star Lineup.
Robinson also received accolades from the Southeastern Conference on Monday, being named the league’s Player of the Week.
The senior from Boca Raton, Fla., had an outstanding week at the plate in five games last week, hitting .474 (9-for-19) with three home runs and 13 RBI. Robinson also posted a .947 slugging percentage and a .542 on-base percentage. Robinson had a career-high four hits in the first game of the week against McNeese State and followed that up with a first inning grand slam in the second game against McNeese to jump start the Razorback offense. Robinson capped the week in dramatic fashion, hitting a game-winning home run with two outs in the seventh inning in Sunday’s series finale with Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
For the season, Robinson leads Arkansas in all three triple crown categories, hitting .465 with three homers and 21 RBI through the first 11 games. Robinson is first in the SEC in RBI, third in batting average and third in home runs.
Arkansas returns to action on Thursday night,facing San Diego State in the first of a four-game series. First pitch is scheduled for 8 p.m. (CT).
