Roslov Done After Day One of SEC Decathlon

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Boris Roslov opened up the SEC Outdoor Championships for the Hogs on Thursday with the decathlon. Entering the event with a bruised heel, he aggravated the injury during the long jump and will not complete the competition on Friday.

Roslov opened the day with a strong showing in the 100 meters. He finished second in his heat and fourth overall with a time of 11.44, good for 765 points.

He finished fifth in the long jump, after aggravating his bruised heel, with a mark of 21-7.5, earning 718 points. Next up in the shot put, he tossed for 34-6.75 and earned 518 points.

Entering the high jump competition at 6-2, Roslov missed on all three attempts and didn’t earn any points for his total.

Deciding to run the final event of the day despite his injury, the 400 meters, Roslov clocked a 56.89.
