NCAA All-American … Began his senior campaign finishing third overall and second-best for the Razorbacks at the Chile Pepper Festival (Sept. 30) … At Pre-Nationals (Oct. 14) he finished with the second-best time for Arkansas at 23:28.90, placing 18th overall… In the SEC Championships (Oct. 27), he helped Arkansas win the SEC Conference title placing sixth overall at 23:51.70, the second-best time for the Razorbacks and earning All-SEC first team recognition… He earned All-Region honors at the NCAA South-Central Regional (Nov. 10) finishing fifth overall and the top time for Arkansas at 30:04.80 … He finished off his cross country career earning his third-consecutive All-American honor at the NCAA Cross Country Championships (Nov. 18) finishing on top for Arkansas and 13th overall with a personal best at 29:39.49, his first time under 30 minutes at that distance.

NCAA All-American … Kicked off his junior campaign as third-best performer for the Razorbacks at the Chile Pepper Festival (Oct. 1), placing seventh overall … Followed that with a top-15 finish at the Pre-National Invitational (Oct. 15), crossing the finish line as the 12th-fastest entry in the loaded field … Helped Arkansas claim its 24th SEC title finishing in fourth place at the conference meet (Oct. 28) on his home course to earn All-SEC first team recognition in a season’s best 8K time of 23:53.30 … Cruised to another top-eight performance with a sixth-place finish at the NCAA South Central Regional Championship (Nov. 11) which led to the Razorbacks claiming their 36th regional title … Capped the year with an improved performance at the national championship (Nov. 19) moving up four spots from his finish in 2015 as the 19th-best runner at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana … Bruce is the second runner in Bucknam’s tenure to race to two-consecutive All-America honors in cross country, joining former Arkansas distance standout Stanley Kebenei.
