Played in two events in the fall shooting 220 at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate and 219 at the Powerade Cougar Classic … Round of 219 is one shot off her career low … Finished the fall with a 73.17 stroke average … Played in two spring events … Took part in the Lady Puerto Rico and the LSU Tiger Classic.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2015-16)
Played in the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in February … Posted a three-round total 249 with rounds of 78-88-83.
AS A FRESHMAN (2014-15)
Jordy LaBarbera took part in two events in the fall playing in the Schooner Fall Classic and the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational. … In three rounds at the Schooner, LaBarbera posted a 227 with rounds of 76-75-76, helping the Razorbacks to a runner-up finish … She matched her 227 at the Ruth’s Chris shooting 77-71-79 … Her second round 71 at Ruth’s Chris is her collegiate low round … She finished the fall with a 75.67 stroke average…Played in two spring events at the Darius Rucker and the Liz Murphey…Finished year with a 76.31 stroke average.
PRIOR TO ARKANSAS
Jordy LaBarbera attended Allen High School where she helped the Eagles to four district and three regional titles and four top-5 state championship finishes including Texas 5A state Championship titles in her sophomore and a senior seasons. As a high school senior her Allen team recorded an undefeated season in 2014 winning all nine tournaments including the 5A State Championship. LaBarbera earned four all district medalist titles and is a three-time Texas 5A All-State selection. LaBarbera won the individual title at the 2012 Texas 5A State Preview and the Region 2 preview and was the 5A District champion her junior year. She placed fifth individually at the 2014 State Championship her senior year. Some of her other accomplishments include qualifying for the 2014 US Women’s Amateur at Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove, N.Y., advancing to the round of 64 match play. She also posted her first AJGA victory in the 2014 AJGA Hunter Mahan and a runner-up finish at the 2014 AJGA Traditions. She was named Golfweek’s Player of the week March 31, 2014, and was named to the 2014 AJGA Rolex Junior All American team. LaBarbera qualified for the 2013 US Girl’s junior, the 2011, 2012 and 2013 PGA Junior National Championship and finished her junior career as the 24th- ranked player in the Polo Girls rankings and fourth-ranked player in the class of 2014.
She is the daughter of Ross and Ellen LaBarbera, and has an older sister, Jessa, who plays golf at Colorado State…Father Ross played college golf at UW-Eau Claire and was an NAIA Nationals qualifier.
