Was one of Arkansas’ most effective pitchers out of the bullpen … Posted a 3-1 record in a career-high 25 appearances for a 3.90 ERA … Doubled his strikeout total from 2015 with 40 punchouts in 32.1 innings of work, giving up just 14 earned runs and 11 walks … Strikeout total was the fourth-highest on the team … Tied for most appearances in SEC play (13), going 16.2 innings … Compiled a 2.70 ERA in the SEC, good for the lowest ERA out of any Razorback with 10 or more appearances … Did not allow an earned run in 14 of first 15 relief appearances … Allowed only three runs over his first 15 appearances … Equaled a career-high of 4.0 innings vs. Missouri (April 1), recording three strikeouts … Tallied a career-high five strikeouts vs. Auburn (March 25) in a 3-2 victory.
As a Redshirt Sophomore (2015)
Converted to a pitcher for the 2015 season and made 22 appearances on the mound with a 1-2 record and 3.77 earned run average … Posted 20 strikeouts in 31.0 innings of work and added one save … Did not allow a run in 13 of his 22 appearances … Tallied a season-high three strikeouts against Gonzaga (March 10), Memphis (March 24) and Mississippi Valley State (April 7) … Earned his first win against Eastern Illinois (March 2), working 3.0 hitless innings with two strikeouts … Recorded a save against Oral Roberts at the NCAA Stillwater Regional.
As a Redshirt Freshman (2014)
Appeared in 12 games and recorded a .125 batting average in 16 at bats … Came on in relief in the SEC Tournament and produced two RBI against No. 10 Ole Miss, including a single in the 8th inning to plate the tying run and make it 8-8 in a game Arkansas trailed 6-0 … Made his first start in the SEC Tournament against No. 8 LSU in the semifinal round … Scored the winning in 4-3 walk-off victory in 10 innings against Auburn on April 15 … Made diving catch into stands on March 19 that landed on SportsCenter’s #SCTop10 plays of the day at No. 9 … Made his collegiate debut in the season-opening win against Appalachian State.
