Appeared in 32 games including 28 starts … Tallied four home runs, second most on the team … Hit a go-ahead solo home run in the top of the eighth inning in Arkansas’ 5-4 win over South Carolina (April 11) … Recorded career-highs in hits (2), runs scored (2), and total bases (5) against Virginia (Feb. 21) … Three multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games … Season-long eight-game hitting streak between Feb. 15-28 … Finished 8-for-9 (.889) in stolen base attempts, including swiping a career-high three against Marist (Feb. 21) … Tallied two hits and two RBIs against Tulsa (March 10)
2014 | Freshman
Made 25 appearances in the circle including 11 starts in her freshman season…compiled a 4-8 record with 32 strikeouts in 74.0 innings pitched…tallied three complete games and two shutouts…earned win out of the bullpen with 2.1 innings of shutout relief against No. 2 Tennessee (March 15)…registered a season-high five strikeouts against South Carolina (April 12)…struck out three or more hitters in six appearances…picked up four RBI at the plate.
Before Arkansas
Wright was tabbed the 2013 Gatorade Florida Softball Player of the Year following an outstanding senior season at Bishop Snyder HS in Jacksonville. She accumulated a 27-5 record with a 0.51 ERA in the circle. In 220.2 innings pitched, she totaled 288 strikeouts and just 47 walks, to go along with 18 shutouts and three no-hitters. Wright was as impressive at the plate where she registered a .443 batting average, 10 home runs, 46 RBI and a .821 slugging percentage in her final prep season.
