Season preview show on Fox regional outlets

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. –-Fox Sports regional networks are scheduled to air a season preview show on Arkansas men’s basketball on several outlets later this month.

The show is set to air on Fox Sports Southwest at 10 a.m. on Nov. 26 and at 5 p.m. on Nov. 27; on SportSouth at 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 21, at 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 25 and 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 27; and on Sun Sports at 3 p.m. on Nov. 24, 10 a.m. on Nov. 26 and 5 p.m. on Nov. 27.

The show was shot on campus and will preview the 2008-09 season with interviews and features.

Arkansas’ show is hosted by Natalie Taylor with reports from Dave Neal, Tom Werme and Barry Booker.

FSN is scheduled to televise two Razorback games this season, the Jan. 10 Southeastern Conference opener at home against Mississippi State and the Jan. 31 contest at LSU.

Arkansas opens its season on Friday with the 7:05 p.m. home game against Southeastern Louisiana.

The Razorbacks won their two exhibition games, 103-58 over Campbellsville and 108-80 over Dillard.

In the two games, junior forward Michael Washington, a pre-season All-SEC selection, led the team with averages of 20.5 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 60.7 percent from the field. Freshman guard Rotnei Clarke averaged 18.5 points and made 9-of-15 three-pointers, and junior guard Stefan Welsh averaged 12.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals.

Arkansas was 23-12 last year, and reached the finals of the SEC Tournament and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
