Season tickets available for 2010

FAYETTEVILLE – Season-ticket packages for the 2010 University of Arkansas volleyball home season are available. Head coach Robert Pulliza, entering his third season at the helm of the Arkansas volleyball program, and the Razorbacks have 14 home matches during the upcoming season.

In preparation for the season, Arkansas has completed one week of preseason training which included several two-a-day workouts. On Saturday, Aug. 21, the team will hold a Red-White scrimmage at Barnhill Arena which is open to the fans. The scheduled three-hour scrimmage is set to begin at 3 p.m.

Renewals for season tickets are $50 per seat for all home matches at Barnhilll Arena. Fans purchasing packages for the first time can obtain season tickets for $29, which also includes a free large, one-topping pizza courtesy of Pizza Hut (limit one pizza per account). The Razorbacks’ home slate features the two-day, season-opening Arkansas Invitational, a non-conference matchup against Oklahoma and 10 contests against the Southeastern Conference. In the first weekend of SEC play, Arkansas faces Georgia and Auburn. In the 2010 season finale, the Razorbacks host defending SEC Western Division champion LSU.

The Razorbacks open their season Aug. 27-28 with the Arkansas Invitational on their home court. In the season opener, Arkansas takes on UMKC with first serve scheduled for 7 p.m. The field for the two-day event also includes the teams from Grambling State and Samford.
