Season tickets on sale for soccer, volleyball

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Season tickets for University of Arkansas soccer and volleyball are now on sale.

Tickets may be purchased online, at the Razorback Ticket Center on Razorback Road or by calling 1-800-982-HOGS (4647).

The soccer schedule features 11 home games for first-year head coach Colby Hale at Razorback Field. The volleyball slate includes 18 matches, including a pair of tournaments, under fifth-year head coach Robert Pulliza in Barnhill Arena.

Reserved tickets for volleyball are $50 while first-time season ticket purchasers can get tickets for $29. Reserved tickets for soccer are $30 with a special price of $19 for first-time season ticket holders. First-time season ticket purchasers for either sport also receive $20 worth of concession stand coupons from Sodexho.

In addition, all youth 17 and under will be admitted free to all games for both sports.

The home schedule for volleyball includes the Arkansas Invitational with matches against Tennessee-Martin on Aug. 24, and Northwestern State and Kansas on Aug. 25, and the Razorback Invitational with contests against Houston Baptist on Sept. 7, and ULM and Texas-El Paso on Sept. 8. Other home matches include Tulsa on Aug. 28, Oklahoma Sept. 4, Florida Sept. 14, Auburn Sept. 28, LSU Sept. 30, Texas A&M Oct. 12, Tennessee Oct. 14, Alabama Oct. 26, Missouri Oct. 28, Kentucky Nov. 11, Georgia Nov. 16 and Ole Miss Nov. 18.

The soccer schedule includes Austin Peay on Aug. 17, Texas Aug. 19, Missouri State Aug. 22, Kennesaw State Sept. 2, Florida State Sept. 9, Kentucky Sept. 21, South Carolina Sept. 23, Vanderbilt Oct. 5, Alabama Oct. 7, Texas A&M Oct. 12 and Auburn Oct. 14.

Of the 18 matches on the volleyball schedule, seven are against NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago. Pulliza returns six seniors and 11 letterwinners from last year’s club, including All-Southeastern and AVCA All-Region selection Jasmine Norton. Pulliza’s incoming recruiting class for 2012 is also ranked No. 26 in the nation, the highest for any class in program history.

On the pitch, Hale takes over the Razorback program following a highly successful nine-year run at Central Florida, which included six conference championships, seven NCAA Tournament appearances, 130 wins, 19 wins or ties against teams ranked in the top 25, six final top 25 national rankings and a high-scoring offense that averaged 44 goals scored per season. Hale’s returnees include All-SEC midfielder Allie Chandler and SEC All-Freshman forward Jeriann Okoro, along with Tyler Allen, Kaylyn Cooper, Beth Stratton and Sam Wolf, who all each started at least 14 times last year.

The promotional schedule for soccer includes UA Faculty/Staff Day (two free tickets) on Aug. 17, Welcome Back Students Day on Aug. 19, Youth Soccer Month Day on Sept. 9, Junior Razorbacks Day on Sept. 23 and Sweat Hawgs Recognition on Oct. 7.

For volleyball, $1 general admission tickets will be available for Sept. 4, UA Faculty/Staff Day (two free tickets) is Sept. 8, Red Out with free t-shirts for the first 1,000 fans on Sept. 14, Team Day on Sept. 30, Junior Razorbacks Day on Oct. 12, Dig For The Cure (Pink Game) on Oct. 26, Trick or Treat with the Razorbacks on Oct. 28, Buy One Get One Free general admission tickets on Nov. 11 and Fan Appreciation/Senior Day on Nov. 18.
