Shean tied for fourth

FAYETTEVILLE – University of Arkansas senior Kelli Shean tied for fourth leading South Africa to a tie for third place at the 2010 World Amateur Team Championship in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Saturday.

Shean, a native of Cape Town, South Africa, carded a five-under 283 with rounds of 70-69-72-72 moving up two spots in the final round of play.

Shean also carded a hole-in-one in the second round of the tournament.  Korea won the 52-team event by 17 strokes over the United States and the three-player team went 1-2-3 taking the top spots.

Shean hovered near the top of the leader board for much of the tournament finishing eight strokes off the lead.

Shean rejoins the Razorbacks for the third of the team’s four fall events at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown Monday-Wednesday.
