Shean competes at Pinnacle

FAYETTEVILLE — University of Arkansas junior Kelli Shean takes her first shot against the LPGA teeing it up with some of the world’s best female golfers at the P&G NW Arkansas LPGA Championship at Pinnacle Country Club Friday.

Shean won the qualifier on Tuesday going two-under and finds herself with a 2:11 p.m. tee time Friday. She is paired with Kim Welch of Sacramento, Calif. and Sung Ah Yim of South Korea.

Fromer Razorback Stacy Lewis, a current LPGA rookie, tees off at 8:54 a.m. with Paula Creamer and Cristie Kerr in what is expected to be one of the feature pairings. Lucy Nunn, who graduated from Arkansas in May, is a member of the Duramed FUTURES Tour. She received an exemption to the event and is scheduled for an 8:10 a.m. tee time with Janice Moodie and Marisa Baena.
