Shean shoots par

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina – University of Arkansas senior Kelli Shean fired a third-round 72 moving into a tie for sixth place at the 2010 World Amateur Team Championship in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Friday.

Shean is taking part in the 52-team World Amateur Championship for the second time in her career. She opened with a 70 followed by 69 and 72 for 211. She is five-under par and just six shots out of the lead.

Shean is a Cape Town native and is playing as one of three representatives of her native South Africa. She helped her team move up from a tie for fifth yesterday into sole possession of fourth place Friday with one round remaining.

She will join her Razorback teammates this weekend in Boulder City, Nev., for the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, the third of four fall events for the team.
