Siebert joins Razorback gymnastics

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Springdale High prepster Amanda Siebert signed a National Letter of Intent to join the University of Arkansas gymnastics team for the 2010 season. “We are excited about Amanda joining the team for the 2010 season,” said Arkansas co-head coach René Cook. “We look forward to her contributing on the vault and floor. We are also excited about having an Arkansan on team. Amanda has always wanted to be a Razorback and we’re glad to welcome her for this season.” Siebert is a 5-4 all-around competing with both her high school team as well as the Williams Dance, Gymnastics and Cheer Center in Fayetteville. A five-time Arkansas State Champion, Siebert has numerous regional and national competitions under her belt and helped Springdale High to a state title as a freshman. Siebert has recently focused on floor and vault with a career-best 9.775 vault twice this year. In addition to gymnastics, Siebert is a four-year letterwinner in track and won two letters in cross country. One of two children to Ralph and Yvonne Siebert of Springdale, Ark. She has an older brother, Eric, and plans to major in kinesiology at Arkansas.
