Stauffer placed on SEC Good Works Team

FAYETTEVILLE – University of Arkansas Lady Razorback soccer sophomore Katie Stauffer has been named to the Southeastern Conference’s Soccer Good Works Team by the league office in Birmingham, Ala.

Stauffer saw significant action for the Lady Razorbacks this fall, scoring two goals, the first of her career. She appeared in 15 games, starting two and scored the game-tying goal when the Lady Razorbacks played the University of Oklahoma. She is one of 12 SEC soccer players to be named to the Good Works Team.

Off the field, Stauffer is an active member of Arkansas Athletes Outreach and was one of the featured athletes for the organization’s Champion of Character campaign. Stauffer also participated in reading at local schools as a member of AAO. Always ready to help out, she is a member of the Student-Athlete advisory committee.

Last summer she was extremely busy as a camp counselor for Kanakuk camps in Missouri. In that capacity she taught soccer and other sports to campers while also supervising camp activities. She also traveled to Honduras for a time to help build communities.
