Storylines To Follow Week 3 Of NFL Season

Here are two storylines to follow this week in the NFL, along with the latest #ProHogs roster changes…

The Rookie Showing Out
A name very familiar to Razorback fans is quickly becoming a household name among New England Patriot fans. Last season it was Trey Flowers. This season – Deatrich Wise, Jr. The rookie defensive end has given offensive tackles all they can handle in the first two weeks of his young career. In fact, he’s already making history. His sack on the New Orleans Saints’ Drew Brees Sunday, made him just the second player in the Bill Belichick era to record a sack each of the first two weeks of his rookie season. His two sacks ties the team lead with former Razorback Trey Flowers, as the two have combined for all four sacks the Patriots have recorded this season.

Even Patriot’s quarterback Tom Brady has been impressed with Wise.

More Action For Henry
After not being targeted in the Charger’s season-opener, head coach Anthony Lynn made it a point that Hunter Henry would not be missed in the game plan moving forward. It showed in week two. The second-year tight end was targeted eight times, hauling in a career-high eight grabs for 80 yards, three shy of his career-high.

Other Chargers’ tight end Antonio Gates broke the NFL record for career touchdowns by a tight end Sunday with 112. Some believe that this could mean more time for Henry, as the Chargers could turn fully to him since the future hall of famer now has the record all to himself.

Roster Moves and Changes
Last week, running back Alex Collins was signed to the Raven’s active roster from the practice squad. This week, wide receiver Cobi Hamilton was signed to the Houston Texan’s practice squad. Hamilton was most recently with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he caught six passes for 123 yards and one touchdown this preseason.
