Jimmy Sanchez

Jimmy Sanchez was named Assistant Director of Marketing and Fan Development in September 2015.

In this role, Sanchez oversees all marketing, promotional and in-game entertainment efforts for Razorback Soccer, Gymnastics and Baseball. He also assists in various fan development initiatives with Razorback Football and Men’s Basketball.

Sanchez joins Razorback Athletics after a stint at New Mexico State University where he served as the Assistant Director of Marketing. He directly supervised the marketing and promotional efforts of Aggie Baseball, Volleyball, Women’s Soccer and Women’s Basketball. During his tenure, New Mexico State reached several milestones, including a 44 percent increase in baseball ticket revenue, a soccer single-match attendance record of 2,005 fans for an August 26 tilt vs. rival New Mexico, and a 42 percent increase in women’s basketball ticket revenue. Sanchez also was the secondary marketing contact for the New Mexico State Football and Men’s Basketball programs.

Prior to his time at New Mexico State, Sanchez was an integral part of the El Paso Chihuahuas — the San Diego Padres’ Triple-A affiliate. As a member of the team’s Inaugural Season staff, Sanchez oversaw the Chihuahuas’ social media platforms which garnered more than 175,000 followers, ranking first in all of Minor League Baseball (160 teams). Sanchez also was responsible for several baseball operations duties, including team media availability and visiting team logistics. He also assisted with the team’s advertising campaign, community outreach, international marketing efforts and production of digital content and design.

In addition to his experience in sports, Sanchez also is a member of the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA) which provides opportunities to exchange ideas and advocate increased participation for minorities in athletics.

A native of Arizona, Sanchez received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon in 2013 where he majored in business administration and minored in sports management. During his time in Portland, Sanchez was also an outfielder and two-time captain for the Cavalier baseball team.
