Lucas Stortzum is in his first year as the assistant director of football operations.
His duties include advance team travel, coordinating and selecting training table meals, coordinating housing for current and incoming student-athletes, organizing community service appearances with the players.
Prior to Arkansas, Stortzum spent three years on the Eastern Illinois football staff as the director of football operations. He oversaw the day-to-day organizational and operational aspects of the program, including budgets, team travel, on-campus recruiting efforts and serving as the NFL pro scout liaison.
He previously assisted the EIU football team as a graduate assistant for athletic operations for three years.
Stortzum earned his undergraduate degree from EIU in 2010 and later earned a master’s degree from EIU in 2012.
