Tennis Hogs Nipped by Tigers 5-2
BATON ROUGE, La. — Arkansas (6-11, 2-6 SEC) lost its third-straight match to ninth-ranked and Southeastern Conference rival Louisiana State Sunday afternoon 5-2.

The Hogs fell behind early by losing the doubles point at the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches. The duo of Michal Chmela and Dan Kiernan, whom are ranked 14th in the nation, defeated Oskar Johansson and Chris Campbell at No. 1 doubles 8-6. Eduardo Pacheco and Aleksey Bubis lost at No. 3 doubles 8-4. With LSU clinching the doubles point the No. 2 match of John Deaton and Henrik Tofft was suspended.

Johansson, who is ranked 15th in the nation, clinched his 27th victory of the season over No. 28 Michal Chmela 6-1, 7-5. Johansson moves to a tie for ninth on the Arkansas list of victories in a season.

Sophomore Magnus Kullenberg was able to claim the victory at the No. 3 singles over Ajay Ramaswami. After Kullenberg dropped the first set 0-6, he rallied to win the next two sets 6-1, 6-1.

The Hogs will return to Fayetteville and prepare for the final home match of the season against No. 2 Florida. The match is Sunday, April 9th and begins at 1 p.m.
